Responsibilities

  • The Operations Engineer assumes complete authority for operational and marine activities and is responsible for the safety of the crew and vessel.
  • The Operations Engineer is next to the OIM in hierarchy and assumes responsibility for the operation and safety of the MOPU in Is entirety.
  • He is responsible for all staff on board and represents the Company’s interests on the installation.
  • He also has overall responsibility in the field for common activities with the FSO.

  • Control of Works;
  • Management of Contract; Management of Emergencies;
  • Marine Operations; Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures;
  • Manage and Supervise Effectively;
  • Start and Monitor Process and Utility Systems

General Requirements

  • Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing Operations Level 3 or local equivalent
  • HND or Bachelor in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering; 10 years’ offshore experience; At least 5 years’ experience as Production Superintendent;
  • Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities; Good knowledge of ESD and DCS operation;
  • Supervisory experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment: Computer literate on Management System ‘Office’ software packages;
  • Medically fit to offshore International standard such as ENG1 or equivalent.Maintenance, Good knowledge of offshore FPSO operations, including Production, Process, Utilities, Marine and Safety Management;Appropriate standard of technical, legal and professional knowledge as defined by compliance; High level of commercial awareness;
  • Practical familiarity with Standard Office, software package. Operation and use of Internet and electronic mail system.
