Responsibilities

Warehouse Inventory officers required immediately in Bonny Island, Nigeria to provide operational support for the physical verification and validation of stock items. Positions include Lead Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, Material Inspectors, and General Technicians. This is a 3 month temporary position.

 

  • Conduct thorough physical check of materials to ensure physical material matches provided specifications and reconcile variances when required. 
  • Recommend robust specifications to be updated where mismatches exist between physical materials and expected specifications. 
  • Implement the use of inventory principles to ensure goods and materials are stored in an orderly manner and according to well established and international standards.
  • Keep proper inventory records using an Inventory Management software.
  • Provide daily progress reports.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and guidelines as required.
  • Ensure timely submission of all documentation. 
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or warehouse manager.

Minimum: B.Sc/B.A

General Requirements

  • A good degree from an accredited university.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in stock taking/inventory/warehouse operations in a structured environment.
  • Good computer skills and demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proficiency with warehousing or inventory management software is required.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience a plus
  • Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
