Responsibilities

Our Client, a Multinational air and hydraulic controls and equipment supplier seeks experienced Tubing Technician for immediate hire.

The Tubing Technician is responsible for running all tubing and electrical installations on equipment.

  • Performs assembly and tubing layout of pressure test system.

  • Controls plumbing, hardware shipping supplies and other related components.

  • Repairs of pumps, valves and cylinders as it relates to our business.

  • Conducts field installation and service work as needed.

  • Performs tubing, wiring and pressure testing.

  • Completes BOM revisions including builds, nameplates, manuals and system testing.

  • Cone and threads tubing on high pressure systems.

  • Services customers on site to perform maintenance and repair equipment.

  • Interacts with customers to determine service issues.

  • Provides technical support as necessary.

  • Works closely with Repair Coordinator to ensure efficient and accurate quoting and billing of repair & service work.

  • Keeps detailed records of service efforts.


Minimum: B.Sc/B.A
Experience: 3-5 year(s)

General Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Tubing Technician training required; post secondary degree in mechanics or industrial technology preferred
  • 5+ years experience in I & E / Tubing work
  • Ability to bend and cone & thread tubing
  • Ability to use fittings on tubing
  • Clear driving record
  • Solid understanding of mechanical principles
  • Knowledge of panels and test systems
  • Haskel product experience a plus
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Basic math and science skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving ability
  • Planning and managing projects
  • Customer service                                 
  • Meeting deadlines and schedule restraints
  • Dealing with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
  • Developing effective working relationships with peers so as to work as a team
  • Physical demands are moderate, to extreme at times, and typically require the following: 50% sitting, 25% walking and 25% standing.
  • Frequent lifting of supplies and material, carrying, pushing and/or pulling may be required.
  • Minimal travel required.
