Key Responsibilities

Job Title: Data Analyst & Dashboard Lead

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Lagos & Ibadan (with occasional remote work requirements).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cleaning and validation of weekly survey data to ensure accuracy and integrity before analysis.
  • Implement and maintain reproducible analytical scripts using approved weighting methodologies for recurring analyses.
  • Generate comprehensive trend charts, detailed subgroup analyses, issue trackers, and summary tables to visualize key findings.
  • Manage and update approved composite indices, including governance sentiment, household stress, and electoral mood.
  • Draft weekly findings reports in clear, concise language tailored for policymakers, while maintaining analytical rigor and caution.
  • Clearly document any caveats, uncertainties, and potential interpretation risks associated with the data and analyses.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards to present key data and insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with program teams to ensure data analysis aligns with organizational objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Political Science, Public Policy, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, with a focus on survey data.
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Stata, SPSS, or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proven experience in cleaning, validating, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain interactive data dashboards (e.g., using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, survey methodologies, and weighting techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into accessible insights for diverse audiences, including policymakers.
  • Experience in documenting analytical processes, methodologies, and data limitations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
