Job Title: CATI Interviewer/Enumerator

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Lagos & Ibadan (with occasional remote work requirements).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer questionnaires accurately and consistently in English or Yoruba, adhering strictly to programmed interview flows.
  • Obtain informed consent from all respondents before commencing interviews and respectfully acknowledge refusals or requests to discontinue.
  • Precisely record call outcomes and assign appropriate response codes for accurate data management.
  • Undertake assigned callbacks efficiently and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct throughout all interactions.
  • Promptly report any respondent distress, unusual data patterns, technical difficulties, or protocol breaches to supervisors.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all aspects of the interview process.
  • Contribute to the overall success of data collection efforts by adhering to project guidelines and timelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Possession of an OND, HND, or a first degree is preferred; however, significant relevant experience may be considered as an alternative.
  • Demonstrated experience in phone interviewing, survey administration, market research, or customer-facing interviewing roles is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional fluency in both Yoruba and English, encompassing both written and spoken communication.
  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to understand and interpret respondent responses effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain consistency in data collection procedures.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and data entry.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in data handling.
  • Resilience and ability to remain professional and focused during challenging interactions.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Oyo.
